Regular Season Round 24: Leuven - Den Bosch 80-91

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Belgian Leuven Bears (12-11) were defeated at home by tenth ranked Dutch Den Bosch (13-11) 91-80 on Saturday. Den Bosch looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was center Menno Dijkstra (213-1997, college: UC Riverside) who scored 24 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American forward Samuell Williamson (203-2000, college: SMU) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. Den Bosch's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Noah Freidel (193-2000, college: JMU) who recorded 31 points and DR Congolese-Belgian Wen Boss Mukubu (198-1983, college: UAB) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Den Bosch moved-up to eighth place. Leuven lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Union Mons and Leeuwarden.
